"Dieren Digitaal" for international users

The website "Dieren Digitaal" contains digitized photographs, videos and objects that deal with the representation of animals in education and research. This project initially focused on horses but the intention is to extend this project to other species in the future (e.g. pets & cattle). Currently, the website contains digitized books in various languages and may be of interest to those who are involved in veterinary history, equine sciences and horse husbandry. Therefore, some information and tools are provided here to facilitate international use of this website and full access to these items. You can search the website by:

1. Browsing the website using the Google® Language Tool.
Enter www.dierendigitaal.nl in the "translate a website" section. Select the desired translation. For example Dutch – English, Dutch – German, Dutch – French, etc. Please note that the translations made by this tool are automatically generated and may not provide an accurate representation of the original content of the website. However, this tool does allow browsing the "Dieren Digitaal" website by category in various languages.

2. By entering a search string in the search field and pressing the "Zoek" (Search) button in combination with the selected tab "Alles" (all) on http://www.dierendigitaal.nl the whole database will be searched by the search engine. Using the Search field in combination with the tab "Afbeeldingen" (images) or "Boeken" (books) or "Video" (movies) will search the database for the selected items only.
